The Jeep Cherokee is coming back with some new features. All the models, except the Sport, have new high-intensity discharge headlamps. Midway through the model year, the trim level Overland will bring out more cool features for an SUV. It will have a leather-wrapped instrument panel, a steering wheel with high-gloss wood trim, bright door sill plates, and Nappa leather, heated, and ventilated seats. It also comes standard with some tech like the Alpine audio system, Uconnect 8.4, Bluetooth, navigation, SiriusXM, and more. Under the Cherokee's Hood

A 2.4-liter four-cylinder that is powered at 184 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque is the base engine. Another option is a 3.2-liter V6 rated at 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. Both the engines have a nine-speed automatic transmission. The drive-train options are: front-wheel drive and two four-wheel drive systems. The first four-wheel drive system is a light-duty Active Drive I and the other is the more rugged Active Drive II. The front-wheel drive and four-cylinder engine has a fuel economy of 25 mpg, the V6 with front-wheel drive has 24 mpg. The 4WD with the four-cylinder is 22 mpg and with the V6 is 21 mpg. When the towing package is added to the Cherokee it can tow up to 4,500 pounds.

The Cherokee has five trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk, Limited, and Overland. All the trims have their own features, while there are more and more luxury and cool features as you move up the lineup. The Sport comes with LED running lights and taillights, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth, and six-speaker audio system with a 5-inch touchscreen. The Latitude adds foglights, roof rails, automatic xenon headlights, a rearview camera, tinted glass, LED interior lighting, upgraded cloth upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Trailhawk comes with all the off-road features. It has the Active Drive II, all-terrain tires, increased ground clearance, a locking rear differential, hill ascent and descent control, skid plates, tow hooks, a larger driver info display, and the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. The Limited includes remote ignition, a wiper de-icer, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Overland comes with active safety features, a power liftgate, unique body-color exterior trim, sound-deadening windshield and front windows, driver memory functions, upgraded leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a nine-speaker audio system with a subwoofer.
