Current segment leaders in the Heavy Duty pickup category when it comes to torque, towing and payload, the Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups are establishing new benchmarks for 2016 thanks to a recalibrated 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel which ups its class-best torque from 835 lb-ft to an unprecedented 900 lb-ft, the most ever in any mass-produced vehicle. While the 2016 Ram 2500 continues to lead the 3/4-ton pickup contingent with 17,980 pounds of towing capacity, the one-ton Ram 3500 now boasts a 31,210- pound rating, up from the current 30,000 pounds and over 4,000 pounds more than its closest rival. To ensure durability, that enhancement is accompanied by a beefier rear differential housing and ring gear.

Design of RAM 2500
Ram 2500 Heavy Duty models competes with Ford Super Duty, Chevrolet Silverado HD, and GMC Sierra HD pickups. Ram HD shares many interior elements and styling cues with Ram 1500 models, though they are not identical. Ram 3500 is also offered in a cab/chassis version, with straight frame rails and commercial intent just like the Ram 4500 and Ram 5500 series. Ram HDs are a compelling choice for anyone in need of a heavy-duty pickup truck. Ram Heavy Duty models are an excellent choice for anyone pulling big travel trailers, multi-car race trailers, big boats or a stable of horses. They are a good choice for anyone who has work to do, be it hauling construction tools and materials or substituting for a medium-duty when a primary business rig is on downtime.

Standard safety equipment for the 2016 Ram 2500 includes anti-lock disc brakes, front seat and side curtain airbags, stability and traction control and a tire pressure monitoring system. Power-adjustable pedals are available on all models except the Tradesman. A rear-view camera is available across the lineup. All three of the Ram's engines provide solid performance, but if you're regularly towing and hauling very heavy loads, there's no doubt that the turbo-diesel engine paired with the automatic transmission packs the biggest punch. The diesel does emit a signature diesel growl when accelerating, but it quiets down at cruising speeds. Give us a call today for more information on the 2016 Ram 2500!
